City centre protest

The council is aware of a protest due to take place in Newport tomorrow.
The protest is due to take place in Westgate Square, from 12:00 to 14:30, and may also involve a march around the city centre, which will start and end in the Square.
The council is working with Gwent Police to ensure public safety. Residents and shoppers are advised to take note of the planned protest
Road closures will not be required though, so traffic should remain unaffected.
