Renewal
We are emailing renewal applications approximately three weeks before your licence is due to expire.
The email will contain full details of what you need to do.

Change of address
In line with Newport City Council Policy, the driver shall notify the Council of all changes in his personal circumstances or relating to this licence, such as arrests, any offence for which reported, issue of fixed penalty notices, convictions, police cautions, and changes of address within fourteen days.
Once the form is completed and fee of £6 per licence (if you hold both driver and vehicle licence you will need to select both) is received the team will produce an updated paper licence and send this to you via email.

Medical examination
Existing drivers will require a medical examination when they reach 45, 50, 55 and 60 years of age.
Applicants aged 65 years and over must have a medical examination each year and more frequently in certain circumstances.
