It is a legal requirement for a dog to wear a collar with a disc attached bearing a name and address.

Any stray dogs found in Newport are taken to Newport City Dogs Home where an owner has seven days to reclaim their dog.
Our stray dog collection service is available between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Reporting lost dogs
If you have lost a dog call us on (01633) 290902, leaving a message with details about the dog including colour and breed, when the dog went missing, and the area the dog was from or is likely to be found.
