Business Improvement District

Businesses in Newport city centre voted to establish a Business Improvement District (BID) from 1 April 2015.

A BID is a business-led and business funded body formed to improve a defined commercial area.

Newport's BID - Newport Now - will primarily be funded by eligible businesses paying a levy set at 1.25% of the rateable value of eligible properties.
